I'm pretty sure I saw this topic before, but without forum search functionality it's impossible to find it so I post it again.
Infinity tourneys are full of ppl who just don't play. In my GO tourney run I just had three timed out games in a row. I'm not playing but waiting all the time. I am aware that this is most likely to end as soon as I advance above ppl not playing anymore, but it takes so much time...
I use this page to play (prolly everyone does) and so this timeout stuff is anticlimatic for LittleGolem. It would be best if something was done about it. Dunno what exactly, some form of eliminating players that timeout obviously.
Please answer in this thread if you know any plans of solving this issue or if you have a link to previous conversations about it.

I recommend you report this problem as a bug (go to main forum page, then scroll to bottom of page to report bugs).
The ideal solution would be that is a player times out, he is automatically taken out of the infinity tournament, and if he wants to join again, he can do so.

I'm a player who, in my very humble opinion, isn't totally utterly boring but might time out occasionally, and I think Ray's idea sounds perfect - it doesn't really penalize someone like me and it cleans the infinity from those who don't play.

And the real problem is the players who timeout having played zero moves.
They really need to be removed from infinity and from championships.

I think people who play no moves in the championship already today will be automatically signed off from the next one (it might have to be two consecutive championships; I don't remember). Anyway, I don't know if there are any similar mechanisms in the infinity tournaments.

I heard from Richard that players who are inactive for more than two weeks are taken off from the Infinity list.
