Yeah I thought also to Quoridor.
Don't know the others.
1 Sep 2015
I would be interested in Phutball.
1 Sep 2015
I would love to play Quoridor here !!!
1 Sep 2015
trax is good too...
1 Sep 2015
I totally approve Trax!
Other games I'd personally like to see here are Pente, Hnefatafl and Minimize.

Mayby Dots (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dots_%28game%29)?

I would go for games that are
simple to play
not solved
played a lot
Yahtzee
aka Dice Poker @BrainKing, single and triple multiplying columns, also 6 dice version (but maybe too many)
aka Shake Rattle & Roll @GoldToken, too many variations
aka Boatzee @ItsYourTurn, single, double and triple
aka Dice @PlayOk, triple columns
Stratego
aka Strategy @YourTurnMyTurn
Mastermind
aka Crack the Code @YourTurnMyTurn, 5 positions with 6 colours (solved, average =4.75 guesses [unless you know better])
aka Logik @BrainKing, 5 positions with 8 colours

tl;dr: Volo, Entrapment, Cannon.
I like the taste of boardspace.net in general. IMHO Volo would be a perfect fit for LG. Currently there's no place to play Volo turn-based.Since Quoridor is playable (both real-time and turn-based) on boardgamearena, I'm against wasting time to implement it here. Entrapment would work better.
Even though Cannon is playable at SDG, SDG is so slow that I'd love to play it elsewhere.

Mentalis. It's playable on GoldToken, but with incorrect rules.

A championship for mini shogi :)
2 Sep 2015
there already is a championship for mini shogi. but a monthly cup for mini shogi would be a good idea

Oh right :) that is of course what I meant

I'd like to see Lynx, a curious hybrid of Hex and Dots and Boxes.

I see there is a vote...
Pineapple Open Chinese Poker starts to get many votes (only 55 people voting up to now).
How would we play it and would it be the two persons or three persons variant?
Anyone who has ideas? I'm thrilled by the idea, very original new type of game here.
18 Nov 2015
It is Open Face Chinese, see introduction here.
18 Nov 2015
Tzaar is winning now
18 Nov 2015
Abalone! And Unlur! And Chinese checkers and xiangqi and quoridor and Nowhere to go and blokus and gemblo!
18 Nov 2015
Pineapple Open Chinese Poker - only two player variant
@Piqo: Polynomino is more or less blokus.

True.

Awhile back, there was a similar pole for a new game, and backgammon won. I would love to see backgammon at this site. I just voted for Tzaar. Tzaar is one of the Gipf project games, as is Dvonn, but Yinsh is the best of the Gipf games. I used to sell these games to my students, but they are apparently no longer in production. Yinsh seems to be in great demand, I saw one sell on ebay this past summer for more than $80 U.S.
19 Nov 2015
Yinsh and Dvonn are good. My favourite Gipf game is Tzaar.
19 Nov 2015

Is it joke ?
19 Nov 2015
I believe that a lot of people don't know Tzaar. I first voted for Draughts/Checkers, as I wanted to get this game on this site rather than having to go to other sites to play. But then I wondered what Tzaar was, had a look, got interested, and now I believe I definitely prefer Tzaar over Checkers, because it's possible to play checkers on so many other sites anyway, and I would really like to learn that game. Please check out Tzaar before voting for Checkers (I'm not much into card games - that's why I don't even mention POFC).
19 Nov 2015
I voted for checkerchecker
19 Nov 2015
Oops
19 Nov 2015
checkers without looking at the option of Tzaar. I agree that most sites have checkers.
19 Nov 2015
Why does my ipad post words twice on this website sometimes?
19 Nov 2015
May I ask proponents of 'checkers' to consider Dameo? It can be found at mindsports.nl. Lots of basic tactics, problems and endgames are provided. Dameo is amongst the most decisive of checkers variants.
19 Nov 2015
I voted for Tzaar, seemed to be a fun game. But I would still love to see chinese chess (xiangqi) here.
19 Nov 2015
I definitely am most interested in the Pineapple OFC out of those, but if it could be any game I'd have to be in favor of Stratego. It's extremely interesting and I'd love to have it on LG!
20 Nov 2015
Ah, Stratego! How rarely I have the pleasure of breaking out my set! But - - - Games of Pure Strategy, right?? The thing with Stratego is that players do not have complete information ie. how their opponents pieces are set up. This makes the game FUN, but adds an element of LUCK. I guess the concept is to avoid that here. I mean ... there is lots of 'strategy' in Poker, but it is still based on luck (anticipated disagreements and arguments coming), and even Scrabble is based on the luck of the draw. So the thing is, will this website ever 'branch out', or remain 'true to it's principles'? Actually, I can appreciate both answers here, and don't feel I have the right to choose one over the other. But that is why I don't think we are likely to see Stratego. Note that there ARE websites for this game, and free software is available as well.Personally, I've always loved the 3D TicTacToe game marketed as Qubic. Certainly the game qualifies, only IT'S BEEN SOLVED!! (bummer!!). What to do, what to do. If somebody could only figure out a way to improve Qubic so that software wouldn't be available for cheaters, so that it wasn't a 1st player win, and so the game was fair, I'd vote for this.I know nothing about the other games (besides Checkers, of course), so I am not voting. For me, I remain happy with the few games I currently participate in here.(meow)
20 Nov 2015
@MisterCat we already have StreetSoccer, EinStein and WYPS which have elements of luck. Also the variants (Dvonn and Go) with random prearranged moves have a small element of luck.
20 Nov 2015
248 votes are not multiple of 3. So the results must be 82 83 83. Pick the two winners and make a second round.
21 Nov 2015
What was the final result of the poll?
21 Nov 2015
Epaminondas! An amazing game from Robert Abbott:
