Hello,
in next days I will implement a small changes in design of Little Golem. Maybe there will be some mistakes. Main reason is create LittleGolem responsive for tablets and smartphones.

Good !
A nice thing could be to add the missing links for analizers.
Our sweety "z" developed many ones (-;
Also Alan Hensel for TwixT !
Bye !

More friendly for tablet sounds great :)
14 May 2014
Great plan!
14 May 2014
Thank you for all of your hard work!
(I've finally gotten around to becoming a member on the strength of it)

I published a first version of a new design. Only a few pages are in a new design. There is a lot of pages and lot of work.....
18 May 2014
I already like it! :)
18 May 2014
I like it! :-)
Congratulations Richard!

Quite interesting--I think it's a nice direction.
One question that I couldn't figure out this morning is how I navigate to the forum for a particular game if I doesn't have a post visible in the stream.
One bug report: in portrait mode on an iPhone 5S, this text field hangs off the right side of the screen.
18 May 2014
Sorry "this text field" means the text field to compose a reply in the forum.
18 May 2014
It's impossible to send moves via smartphone now. Old version was better.
18 May 2014
bug report: the analyze board for chess is missing.
18 May 2014
Nice idea but:
The Polyomino-board is not right at the moment: there are no empty squares visable: just one grey background. It's the same with the pieces. There should be individual squares visiable, I think. Maybe that's different with other browsers? I use Windows Internet Explorer 11 (Windows 7).
18 May 2014
I like the look of it, although it will probably take a while to get used to
18 May 2014
That is a very time adequate design for sure. The board for Dots and Boxes looks terribly yet, but I guess it will be changed?
18 May 2014
It seems Shogi boards also have issues, such as the fact the pieces in hand are all drawn at the same place.
18 May 2014
When viewing a game the old "txt" button for saving a game seems to be missing.
18 May 2014
While going to the forums requires javascript, I shan't be reading the forums. Therefore if there are any issues with RoRoRo, please message me directly about them. I can see him still happily playing dvonn, I'm not sure about the other games yet.
18 May 2014
Looks real cool. But as for the graphics of Dots and Boxes, it looks a little bit weird at moment. Also, the Waiting room needs separator lines between the different games.
18 May 2014
The Amazons board shows no gridlines. At least to me.
18 May 2014
Another issue (in Firefox, Linux). We can play the Empathy game but not vote an expression for tomorrow's game.
18 May 2014
Not bad, keep up the good work.
Links to opponent player's profile pages do not exist yet, nor can we use the script to see how each player fares in different game types.
But they will come, right?
18 May 2014
Looks interesting, may take some getting used to.
One problem I encounter is that for several of the games I play (e.g. WYPS [regular size], and Hex 13x13) the player information and move list partially covers the game board.
Thanks Richard for your hard work.
18 May 2014
Link "Print games" is missing.
18 May 2014
I just thought "Oh, did I type the address incorrectly?" :-)
I find it a bit confusing/annoying that opening/closing the "Forum" and "Messages" panels make me scroll automatically. But maybe that's just me.
18 May 2014
Can you play in "portrait mode" on a tablet?
18 May 2014
18 May 2014
Exception: java.lang.IllegalStateException what is it?
18 May 2014
Eh. Is it possible to decide for onself to keep using the old design?
Okay, not all of the new pages are bad, but a few of them lack clearness which was one of the greatest advantages of old littlegolem imo.
And please change the DaB board. This can only be a joke..
18 May 2014
Good effort Richard! Keep it going!
1. Would be great to decide if to keep the old look.
2. When browsing a tournament list of games (own or others) would be great to see it like the games on the homepage, displayed with shaded lines in the table.
Thank you,
Tible

I can't make any moves on Android now. Touch event handling seems broken. Disabled zooming is also very annoying because I can't even see the full 14x14 Polyomino board in portrait mode.
18 May 2014
FYI, I'm using Chrome in Android 4.4.
18 May 2014
Man, that IS a different look-and-feel! Let's see how it all turns out!
Thx for all the hard work Richard

Bots unfortunately are forced to scrape the html right now. This change completely broke the scripts. Is there a chance there could be a basic json api? The main apis that are needed are:
- list of invites and ability to accept/reject an invite
- list of games where it's my move
- list of moves made so far in a game
- make a move
- send a message to myself (ie so the bot can tell me, the human, that a game is over).
This is the code I use right now to play:

18 May 2014
OK, I can't read messages either without javascript, or jumping through hoops. (disabling the "display:none" in the style-sheet)
I massively prefer the old interface. It was not modern-looking, but that gave it some character.
18 May 2014
The polyomino board looks quite bad.
18 May 2014
On low resolution I can't move on Go 19x19. I have to reduce the size (zoom out) . Possible overlapping of elements?
18 May 2014
How do I take advantage of the smart phone changes? As it is now, I can view the boards, but not make any moves with my touch screen.
Samsung s5
18 May 2014
It is impossible to play Shogi or Tori Shogi with this new format as it does not represent pieces in hand properly on iPhone or iPad. Neither did the old mobile version of the site, but at least I had the option then to go to the full site. I no longer have that option as the site defaults to the mobile version with no options. I haven't checked out much else. However, my first impression is that there was much more clarity with the old format. All my play happens on mobile devices. Right now I cannot play the Shogi games.
18 May 2014
I can second that I can no longer send moves from smartphone. Also when viewing hex game in portrait only part of board is visible and there is no way to pan to reveal more.
18 May 2014
It is impo9ssible to play in this design -(Win 7, firefox) - streetsoccer - no possibility to click on any player on board, the same in dvonn - no possibility to click on empty point for placing new stone. The only thing which works is possibility for watching previous moves, and for skipping game. I hope when it will be changed EVERYBODY will have more time for move - now I have lost some hours becouse of new design - may be all thje day ( I will tomoroow try to play littlegolem). May be it is possible to make page ready for play not only for tablets but for normal computers , too?
18 May 2014
I must admit that I definitely prefer the old design, but maybe I'm just old-fashioned. I like that Richard is putting effort into the site, though! But the design worked great, and maybe the effort could need better spent elsewhere?
18 May 2014
Ditto - impossible to move in Havannah on iPhone/iPad.
18 May 2014
I don't have a strong preference for either design, but the current interface is not functional on both Android and iOS.
18 May 2014
Actually, I also can't move on my Macbook.
Since you are implementing some changes, could I recommend using vector graphics for the game boards so that we can zoom in nicely.
18 May 2014
Very nice, only i cant move in Amy of my games. Hope it Will be corrected.
18 May 2014
Would suggest to allow players to change between old and new look. Also please add the grid lines back to Four in a Row and make the board larger! It's hard to see. Thanks for your hard work.
18 May 2014
In Chess it's impossible to make moves (under Windows 8.1 and IE 11). To see details (time, moves ...) you have to scroll - this was better before. The drop-down-menus don't work with the touch-screen (they drop up before you can make a choice).
18 May 2014
Thanks for all, Richard!
18 May 2014
Very nice. Much more clean, visually attractive and intuitive. It`s true that Shogi is impossible to play at this stage, since captured pieces displaying like a stack, but transition never comes without obstacles. Congratulations!
