<p> Hi, Go, Slither, Amazons, Hex, Breakthrough, and Twixt-PP are my favorite games at this moment. Herb Doughty is my Hex teacher; Klaashaas is my Amazon and Slither teacher. Tim in Germany triggered my interest in Twixt. And it is David Bush who has patiently taught me via handicapped Twixt games (There are 24 rows for him to connect, but only 21 rows for me). </p> <p> Players, who are thoughtful in (1) submitting resignation graciously when games are obviously hopeless without any uncertainty, and (2) finishing games in a timely manner, are pleasant and respectable, in my eyes. </p> <p> Considerable effort has been constantly devoted to reminding myself that (a) improving our strength is much more important than winning our games and achieving higher ratings, and (b) I will greet my opponent when a game starts, and say something polite when it finishes (as I will when we meet face to face at a table to play a real-time game). </p> <p> I love to chat while playing games. Chatting, however, does not suggest that I am not serious about the games themselves. If you become my opponent, and wish to focus on game playing only, please simply respond to me with a few consistently brief messages, and I will understand the hint. </p> <p> My LG motto is: It is not our current strength/rating that is important.
