About
Despite its simplicity, Hex is a profound game. Unlike backgammon, chess, checkers and Go (and Jeopardy!), Hex remains, along with D&B, one of the games where the best human players can still defeat the best computer programs.<br />
Not quite a game site, but also fun, for programmers at least, is <a href="http://projecteuler.net/index.php?section=scores&level=3&page=5">Project Euler</a><br /><br />
<h4>Braggadocio:</h4> I won the <a href="http://www.littlegolem.net/jsp/tournament/tournament.jsp?trnid=hex19.mc.2008.sep.2.1">September 2008 Hex 19</a> monthly cup, the <a href="http://www.littlegolem.net/jsp/tournament/tournament.jsp?trnid=hex19.mc.2010.feb.2.1">February 2010 Hex 19</a> monthly cup and, tied with Mirko Rahn and Piotr Karas, the <a href="http://www.littlegolem.net/jsp/tournament/tournament.jsp?trnid=hex19.mc.2010.apr.2.1">April 2010 Hex 19</a> monthly cup.<br />
I finished second in the first WYPS ascending linear championship, <a href="http://www.littlegolem.net/jsp/tournament/tournament.jsp?trnid=wyps.cv.ascendingl.2.1.1">wyps.cv.ascendingl.2.1.1</a>, first in <a href="http://www.littlegolem.net/jsp/tournament/tournament.jsp?trnid=wyps.cv.ascendingl.3.1.1">wyps.cv.ascendingl.3.1.1</a> and first in <a href="http://www.littlegolem.net/jsp/tournament/tournament.jsp?trnid=wyps.cv.nb.9.1.1">wyps.cv.nb.9.1.1</a>. In <a href="http://www.littlegolem.net/jsp/tournament/tournament.jsp?trnid=wyps.cv.nb.8.1.1">wyps.cv.nb.8.1.1</a> and <a href="http://www.littlegolem.net/jsp/tournament/tournament.jsp?trnid=wyps.cv.nb.10.1.1">wyps.cv.nb.10.1.1</a>, I was the only player to win against the champion.<br />
As of 2013-05-28, I'm in championship levels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.<br />
