Row handicapping

What do Twixt players here think about row handicap games? See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TwixT#Variants

Would you like to see this implemented here on LG?

I could generate any and all images necessary. As an example, take a look at

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1UN60TelTDyWQJqL3Rj3BaUcakFYxEFTm?usp=sharing

These images are intended for another site, jptwixt.com which is for real time play. There are two folders. One is for a grid of holes with 20 pixels per row or column, and the other folder is for 30 pixels per row or column. I made these with Inkscape, and I can easily change the images to whatever details you like. Do you want grid labels? What size of what font, what colors, how thick should the links be, how far do you want the guide lines to extend for which handicap, etc. etc.

Many Japanese players have recently shown up here on LG for turn based play. For real time, they use the jptwixt site. They have adopted an unusual handicap system there.  Here is a quote from user mmkall:

bq..

They also had an interesting system for handicaps. Players are ranked in "classes", and winning against someone from an above class without handicap brings you up to theirs. Winning five games in a row in your current class also promotes to the next one. Playing a handicapped game between classes is based on (roughly) the following rules:

- 1 class difference: the stronger player can't swap first move or form an unconnected "kosumi" (1-1) between their pegs

- 2 class difference: in addition, the stronger player may not form an unconnected 4-1 or 5-2 relation between their pegs

- 3 class difference: in addition, the stronger player may not form an unconnected 3-1 or 4-0 relation

- 4 class difference: in addition, the stronger player may not form an unconnected 3-3 or 4-4 relation"

p.

Here is an example game played, apparently, with the lowest handicap.

Of course they are welcome to use whatever handicap system they want. I generated those images in the hope of persuading them to consider row handicapping. In the readme file I sad "If LG were to adopt handicapping it would be row handicapping."

That was a bit presumptuous of me. I welcome feedback.
