Best timing on removal from championship tournament

I have a process question on how to best remove myself from the Hex championship tournament. I want to remove myself after I have finished my final scheduled game in the current tournament subject to two conditions: (1) I am not automatically re-enrolled in the next tournament, risking forfeiture of those games, and (2) my final standing in the current tournament is accurately and officially recorded. When should I hit the "remove" button?

Once the championship has started, you can remove yourself. This will affect your enrollment to the next championship.
