Posting Questions on HexWiki

Hi,

I've just posted a question to http://hexwiki.amecy.com/index.php/Quick_Questions, a new page on the wiki, for two purposes.

First - borrowing from the idea on Sensei's Library (http://senseis.xmp.net/?forum=QuickQuestions), new players such as myself would likely appreciate answers to what might be basic question topics.

Second - I need Hex help :)

Why not post the question directly in here?  You might recall that to prevent spam in these forums, LG forces that newly created accounts have completed 10 (I'm not certain of the exact number) games before being allowed to post/reply/etc.  It can be rather discouraging for a new player to be turned away from this forum (perhaps the only such resource on the web) for such a reason.  In fact, I just went through this, enrolling in 4ir, OSKI and other games that I hoped could finish quickly, just so that I could post my question about bringing back HexWiki.  In the process, I now spend far too much time playing OSKI, all because I wanted to play Hex.

@Tommah, and others more technically inclined, there may be a better way to make use of the Wiki's functionality to enable a forum-like feel for questions and answers, if so, please feel free to re-factor the page.

I'll have to think about that.  Off the top of my head:

1.  We could create a category called Questions and tell people to put their questions in that category.

2.  We could create a namespace called Question and tell people to put their questions in there.  I think there is a way to list all the pages in a namespace... we could do that on a main questions page.

3.  We could try installing a forum extension (e.g. https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:WikiForum)

For now, I suggest #1.
