Hex at "Festival International des Jeux" in Cannes

Hi there! I and a friend of mine have decided to go to "Festival International des Jeux" in Cannes, where a French mathematical association is going to organize an Hex tounament.

We are in touch with them and on Thursday, we'll know in which day and at what time the Hex tournament will start.

Anybody interested in a ride to Cannes to play Hex with us??

Hi Giupiter,

That's a great plan. I would like to know the date of the tournament in Cannes. Some years ago I visited a Hex tournament at a games fair in Granollers, near Barcelona. That was nice. See the last pictures of this slideshow. http://www.hexboard.com/Tournament_photos.htm

In the Netherlands (Hilversum and Tiel) I organised some Hexx6 tournaments for Hex, Y, Wings, Atoll, Havannah, Unlur (and Pünct).

Hi Tony I'm glad to know you could come too! I'm going to call the French guy from the math ass. that organize the tournament later in the afternoon, then I'll let you know everything.

I saw you pictures, very beautiful! And you made a very good job in organizing those tournaments! I and the friend of mine who's coming to Cannes with me are trying to make a similar job here in Italy, but we're not that good yet :)

also because we knew about Hex just a year ago. It's so a pity this magic game it's so "unknown" :( But maybe we, Hex Community :) can do something to change this unfair situation :)

I'll be in touch ASAP, thank you Tony!

Hi Tony here I am, sorry to be late, and I don't have good news too :(

I didn't spoke directly with the guy of the math ass. because he doesn't speak English, so a friend of mine who speak French did it for me. It seems they have not scheduled any Hex tournament, there will be just a stand where people can play Hex with the guys from the association. So to be fast, we are going anyway on Saturday, because a couple of these guys of the ass. are supposed to be good Hex players and most likely they will be there in Cannes Saturday afternoon. Once we are there maybe we can arrange a little tournament with them and other occasionally players.

Maybe you can join us anyway and to make a better little tournament :)

Anyway Tony keep in touch, if you organize another tournament in the Netherlands let me and other here at L.G. know about it.

In this forum, in an other topic, there are some Norway's players who want to organize a big Hex tournament next year in Norway...

keep in touch!
