I'm having trouble figuring out this game was resigned. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but I don't see anything wrong with these two continuations.

Hmm -- I didn't realize the board images would be included. Too bad there is no way to put move number on the stones so that you could see the sequence without clicking on the link.

my question exactly

Thanks, Arek. Now I see.

This championship is very exciting! If Arek beats Marius then I think it's impossible for Maciej to win (though it's still possible for me to win). In other words, if we all beat Marius then I think the winner will be me or Arek, depending on my game vs. Maciej. If some of us lose to Marius, then other outcomes are possible.

Clearly it's all about your game against Maciej. I would wish you good luck, but... you know :) In any case congratulations for your strong play throughout the tournament!

You can request TRMPH to print out numbers on the pieces by modifying the link to the interface
Unfortunately, you'll only get an image like
http://www.trmph.com/diagram/1,hex,13,d1d1i5i10e9f10l4g8j9j10k9k10d11d10e10f7g7g6d8f3e6f5g5f6g9i6h6f8i8h8h9j5e5f4k6l3k4k3j4j3h4i2g3h1e2f2d4,-1but here you can change the marker style "-1" at the end to "-n" (n being a natural number) to get historical information about the gameplay, e.g.
for showing the 10 last placements.
Essentially, all you need is to change "/hex/board#13," into "/diagram/1,hex,13," and add the marker style (e.g. ",-1" or "-13") at the end.
Maybe you can ask z to implement this feature in the game analysis interface as well.

Thanks Thomas. That's good to know.

What am I missing? Instead of resigns, why not black (red) e3?
30 Oct 2014
David, have you considered 36. e2? People often forget to play that move early enough in these double ladder situations.
30 Oct 2014
Yes, David, for instance like this: http://www.trmph.com/diagram/1,hex,13,d1d1i5i10e9f10l4g8j9j10k9k10d11d10e10f7g7g6d8f3e6f5g5f6g9i6h6f8i8h8h9j5e5f4e3e4c5d4c4d9c9b11e8d7c6b8e7d3b2b3c3c2d2e1e2f1f2g1g2h1h2i1i2j1k2j2i4j3k3j4k6g11f9j7l7,-40
Seems to work for black...

I am pretty sure i would win this if only i would play 27.k6:
http://www.trmph.com/hex/board#13,d1d1i5i10e9f10l4g8j9j10k9k10d11d10e10f7g7g6d8f3e6f5g5f6g9i6k6 .
Unfortunately i went the other way and missed 32.j5. I knew i play against Arek who won't make any mistakes after this one. So i resigned ;-)
