Can anyone explain game 1565472? It started on August 2, but each player only played 3 moves. How is this possible?
If each move gives 1.5 days of time and players start with 10 days of time, then after 6 moves the players could have used a total of 20+6*1.5 = 29 days (plus vacation days). However, the game lasted for more than 138 days so far. This means the players used a total of more than 109 vacation days, so more than 54 each.
Even considering some server bugs (with negative time and vacation days resetting), I don't see how this is possible.

@shalev: One of the player is a member, so 30 vacation days for him. So, a vacation days reset can explain up to (30+20)*2 = 100 days. If there were 2 resets - which I think what has happened - we go up to 150 days for 2 players.

1565521 and 1565389 are done for Hex13. 4 left to go. I'm not sure if 1565472 will ever end though - don't the vacation days get reset again on Jan 1? If so, pim won't flag until February (and of course, he can play a move just before flagging, and the game can last for months after).
For Hex19, 1552097 is done, so there are 10 left.

Hi,
please no comments on this game which is still running.
In game #1551995 my opponent made a losing move with 140.e19. By responding e18, I was then able to push to the right on row 18: After my move p18 and the forced response p19 and then r18 with the forced response q18 the connection to the bottom can be extended on row 16 to the left and will connect to the top.
I asked my opponent, if we could play out a different variant instead. This is the reason, why we are still playing.

The Hex13 championship just finished. I guess this means the next one will start in a week!

There are only 2 games left in the hex13 championship. I think this is ahead of schedule compared to previous championships!

This has certainly been an exciting tournament, right up to the end. I look forward to being back in the tournements when my schedule is less hectic. :)

Congratulations to Arek for winning the Hex13 championship! This was a very exciting championship: if Maciej beat Arek, or if I beat Maciej, or if I beat Daniel, or if Daniel beat Arek, the outcome would have been different.
Also,I apologize for taking a long time to play that last game. I think until a few moves ago, I still had a good chance of winning.

Congratulations to new master, fully-deserved victory.

Thanks guys, I'm really happy to win the champ this time. Although I cannot agree that was fully deserved. You all deserve applause as much. Especialy shalev, who outplayed me in an extraordinary fashion ensuring his victory after 14 moves. I'm very curious if he'd been already ahead at #13 http://littlegolem.net/jsp/game/game.jsp?gid=1651335&nmove=13. Secondly, Maciej Celuch got the better of me too, but blundered his chances in endgame around 30th move.
I'll do my best to prove myself in upcoming championship :)

Shalev, I thought any of 39.h8 or 39.g9 or 41.k6 would be game over...But congrats to Arak :)

Bill, in my game against Maciej, I think my move 39 was a mistake, and possibly move 37 was a mistake as well. The position is complicated, but before move 37 I thought I was doing well. I highly doubt 41.k6 works, but I didn't check. Anyway, I should probably start another thread for this :)
Arek, yes, our game was really short - I thought I was winning after move 13. In hindsight, maybe your move 10 was a mistake - what do you think?

Interesting. What was your game plan? How would you respond to something like this?
