Looking for a Hex teacher

I have got a 1750 rating in hex, and I think from now on I won't get a lot better just by playing on a turn-based server. And hexwiki is not available for the time being. Would someone like to play a teaching game? (Inspired by this thread )

You can give a try to www.iggamecenter.com too, sometimes there are experienced players, and i think that real time playing is a more serious thing... :)

What makes you think you will not get better by playing here? I know lots of people who reached 2000+ ratings in there games never playing it anywhere other than here.

This is a good idea. I'm willing to both teach and be taught Hex, or just discuss strategy with someone.

I'm currently rated about 2050, but I hope to pass the 2100 mark soon. I've never played on iggamecenter.com, but I'll go check it out =)

I just thought I wouldn't get (a lot) better because the games progress slower than on real time servers, so that I get less experience. But if I am wrong, that's ok too! I just tried iggamecenter.com, it's less active than i thought (but i see shalev played 2 games).

People you can meet there more often are me, Arek Kulczycki (hextreme), David J Bush (peyrol), Maciej Celuch (nie_wiesz)... i'm now busy with exams so until mid of july i can't be there really... :)

urmaul, we could play some unrated games here on littlegolem and involve our moves' purpose description by sending messages, I guess this maybe is what you look for, isn't it? :)

JKB, it depends on periods... sometimes we're busy with other things than hex :P

Anyway you're more likely to find hex players there during the evening or the night in european time.
