Playing non-Hex connection games on a Hex board

It is known that a size N game of Y can be played on a size NxN Hex board by identifying opposite cells along the shorter diagonal. For example, to play a game equivalent to Y of size 4 on a 4x4 Hex board:
a1=d4
b1=d3
c1=d2
a2=c4
b2=c3
a3=b4

It was recently brought to my attention that Square Hex can also be played on a Hex board by identifying certain cells with others:

My question is, are there any other connection games that can be played on a Hex board in this manner?
