The current Draughts interface only indicates which piece moved with a little green circle around its border, with no indication of which cell it originated from, or what cells it jumped to while capturing other pieces. On the old interface, the origin and destination cells of the pieces are all highlighted, and this is what should be replicated on the new interface.
The color scheme of English Draughts doesn't play nice with that green circle: it is very similar in color to the green of the checkerboard cell, so it's difficult to tell which piece was moved last.
Thanks for reporting these issues! Both fixes are now live.
The last move now highlights the starting square, every intermediate landing square, and the destination. Numbered markers show the order during multiple captures, including when replaying a game.
I’ve also refreshed the graphics across English Draughts, International Draughts, and Dameo, with improved contrast, softer board colours, and crown symbols for kings. The PNG previews use the same updated design.
Please let me know how it feels in actual play, especially the contrast and move highlighting.
