bird: an infinitude of 0 point answers! Looks like RoRoRo's reminder completely failed to achieve its intended purpose.

Poker: I hardly knew her (1)

saimon, I'm surpised anyone gave any "birds" answer other than the name of a bird! But that's why I finished poorly. :)

I thought I had learned something while browsing dictionaries, but did not follow Thierry's rule # 8 (If you feel it might be wrong, it is)

Chuckeled @ Foul Ole Ron's brown - I don't even know why. But this is so far best 1-pointer of the decade!

Have you seen one (Commodore 64)? Can you remember the colour of the keyboard/mainboard/computer?

glass: wine(13)

I know it's not an 1-point but it counts as one :)

#14 · MichaeI X

18 Feb 2010

@yper:

Well, if you played this "glass" round without spying Past Games, Congratulations, just 3 below max !!!

(But I guess you found 'glass' in the 'wine' round and replaced 'cup' to be super smart ;)

#15 · ypercube

No, I looked at the Past games, I just took a bet that a glass of wine would be better than a cup (related to glass).

8 people played "cup" (besides the 8 PastGamers who won the round) while 12 played "wine" from a total of 30 (NonPastGamers). I needed 4 more "winers" to become a winner and not a whiner :)

So is that how 8 people tied for a perfect score this game... by looking at a past Empathy game?

#17 · ypercube

18 Feb 2010

Yep, at least 9 people looked at previously played games and 8 decided to follow the exact 10 words that won iin th eprevious round of "glass".

It doesn't always work but most of the times when a topic is repeated, replaying winning words will get you to a - crowded - first place.

Hey, I didn't know it was played before :/

and besides the really questionable choice "cup" ( I had similar thoughts like yper, just eventually favoring "crystal" ),

the hardest part of that round was skipping glasse, who won so many of those past games!

#44 · somar96

2 Apr 2010

I couldn't help it. I started 1100 games at once...

I'm not timing out anymore though

#45 · ypercube

2 Apr 2010

1100 games, on first thought, wow!

On second thought, not so wow. Can you start 1100000 games?

#46 · somar96

2 Apr 2010

no you can't. because games will start ending. but 3000 is possible I say.

#47 · Aganju

2 Apr 2010

the question should be how many can you start and seriously play (without timing any out)

I know you can do 500. Did so for a while. 1000 is a real stretch, but if you play full time (like 14 h a day, 7 days a week) it should work. That would be about the limit though, or you would go crazy.

@somar96: No, we don't want you to try it.

#48 · Aganju

should have known that only Floridians would write 'Gator' (1 point). And it does taste like chicken.

I wrote "everything" and I got full 5 points!
