About SGF files

Does anyone know why some matchs are not avaiable in sgf files?

Yes sure, old games are not anymore avaiable. I cant precise the dates, but problaby just after few weeks there are only avaliable online but not for downloading.

There is another way to get sgf files, as minortriad site will not work for Go games:

http://www.littlegolem.net/jsp/game/png.jsp?gid=game-number will display it, for example

http://www.littlegolem.net/jsp/game/png.jsp?gid=1769344 for your first go game.

Interesting. This png.jsp way works for all games huh?

Carroll, ok, but when I get the code - e.g. B[gd];W[de];B[fg...etc - how can I turn it into a sgf file?

Rbpompeu: This code is the sgf file, just unfortunately the browser isn't told that it's an sgf file. You can save the page as "game.sgf" for example. Alternatively, you can copy the code, paste it in an editor, and save it as "game.sgf" (but don't save it in .rtf or .docx or .odt format or similar, save it as a raw text ".txt" file.
