is d1-b3 best opening move? in my LoA journey while advancing higher in ranks i had less and less opponents playing this. i was always annoyed by this move but learned to play against it somehow and i developed a feeling that it's too direct blocking move to be successfull, both if followed by building a line in second row or if give up quickly. i just advanced to 1st championship level and i have a feeling that this move is quite popular, even as second move put as not related to my 1st move.

d1-b3 is a viable choice, but b1-b3 or c1-c3 may be better. The black hole make any assumption about the best move dangerous, although most strategic principles from regular LOA seem to work pretter well.
The mid to endgame is where the game will be won, unless one player has such a strong position that it is almost impossible to mess up!
