Just a blunder I think, it looks like white make a room for b5-a6,a6-a7,a7-b8 path on move 47. But black missed the nice 50.a8-a7 responce and then move 52.c5-b4 and a clear win as then the pieces c3, b4 are unstopable in next 4 moves. And white cant reach a back rank with just a4, a6 pieces.

I had considered 46 e8-d7 (followed by 47 c6xd7 48 c8xd7 and then my original plan through c5-b4-a3-b2 etc.) and 46 a8-b7 (and the same plan) and I thought a long time and finally chose the former that I believed was safer and winning.

To my big surprise, kingofthebesI played 47 c6-d7 and announced "gg", a move that I don't remember having even considered. I was really disappointed not to have forseen this move and I thought "man, I should have played the other one 46 a8-b7". All my plans crumbled and I assumed without thinking that "gg" means he's got the obvious a6-a7-b8 win. So I thanked him for the game and resigned on the next move.

Of course, a8-a7 instead of resign saves the game and lead to the outcome that my opponent probably expected when he said "gg".

Next time I face an unexpected move with a message similar to "thanks for the game", I'll try to spend more time deciding whether I blundered or it's a desperate move before resigning!

In the words of Tom Jones ... it's not unusual.

Would one of the top players like, when the league is decided, to give a youtube commentary on what they consider to be the most interesting game of the league? ("LittleGolem TV", as Thnikkaman has dubbed it. And if someone only wants to do an audio commentary and can't do the visuals, I can probably edit it and attach it to a video that I make myself.)

My game with Kyle was a very interesting game. I plan on making some notes to the game soon, but I don't know about a U-tube video! Not sure where to start on that!

My game with Kyle has set the record for the longest game (99 moves) and it ended (with a bit of fun) in a wipe out of all of Kyle's pieces. But the real interesting position was on move 81 when I created a symetrical mutual zugwang position! And to make it more interesting, it is black who has to move! (Can you figure out how that happened?)

Ray: That game looks great. To do the video, you simply record your voice while you go through the game and comment on the moves (particularly the interesting ones). You can send the voice to either me or FatPhil, who will then edit it into a video by showing the images you are talking about. FatPhil will probably to a nicer looking video but I will be more than willing to put in the work. I simply lack the knowledge of the game to do a good video on breakthrough.
