Separate ranking for shogi variants

In my opinion shared ranking for traditional shogi and its variants is not good. There are players specializing in variants and never or almost never playing shogi (including one of the leading players), and vice versa (like me). If it was possible for go, why couldn't it be possible for shogi?

Thank you for your attention :)

I agree... However, actually the go rankings have the same problem here ;-)
