I found a mate in 27 moves from this position in one of my games. This is the longest mate I ever made in mini-shogi. How longest have you made?

You read out that sequence? Wow. As a weak player, I'm nowhere close to reading that far ahead. That was quite interesting to replay and see!

How was it mate after 33.K4a?
I don't really know all the rules of mini-shogi, but I can't see the mate...
Are "nifu" or pawn drop mate allowed?
In any case, congratulations for the impressive sequence.

Neither "nifu" nor Pawn drop mate allowed in minishogi.
After 34.K4a, I can deliver a mate such as 35.G3b 34.K4a-5b 35.G3b-4b 36.K5b-4b 37.P4c 38.K4b-5b 39.S5c 40.K5b-4a 41.S5c-4b 42.K4a-5b 43.P5d-5c(mate) without" nifu" or Pawn drop mate. As you know, Pawn pushing mate is allowed both in shogi and minishogi.

Interesting thread and fun to read. I think the longest I made is like 4 moves.
