How many people advandce in each group. Like the top _ players.....

The top 4 players advance to a higher league. The lowest 8 per league go to the lower division.

Can be more than 4 if many players of the higher division withdraw for next season, but I think in that case the highest of the lowest 8 have preferense first.

In the lowest division I think more advance if the number of leagues in the lowest division is not twice the number of leagues in the second lowest division. (Like you experienced in the first season.)

285 coaches fit in 4 divisions. 251 registered now. 35 coaches more and the 5th division must be added. With 1 coach in division 5. A certain champion. :-)
