Hey you people should go to www.jagex.com for the best games. ( Atleast Better Than www.littlegolem.net) No really it is much better. O nly for regular computers ( Windows 90-99 , Windows XP , or other computers NOT WEBTV computers, because webtv has no mouse. You atleast need a mouse for www.JAGEX.com. Again, that is WWW.JAGEX.COM!!!!!!

Anyway, people just go to that website. Please reply to this message!

Thanx,

KOOLKID.

Why? All you've told is is what it can't do. That's hardly a recommendation.

Because we find it very good here, and we are afraid to meet you there...

Well, there are the ads. The jiggly one is pretty annoying. That I can see, they don't make any representations as to what they may or may not do with my e-mail address. But then I can't see everything. Even though I'm running Win 2000 Professional with IE 6, it is clear that they have incorrectly computed what can fit on my screen. I can't see all the games nor all the text at once.

And then there's the issue Hjallti raises.

The former or the latter? Or both?

But have you tried the role-playing game of "RuneScape"? KoolKid has a very good point, and I've found myself completely lost in this game for the past year. It's way, way too much fun ;-)

They are updating them now so they'll be even better. Try their biggest and best multiplayer game, Runescape.

Well, a quick look at the page seems to indicate that it is not a board-playing site at all. Sorry, but a game site without Hex is simply not an alternative. :)

Jagex used to support 13x13 Go with white playing first. But it seems that they have recently removed all their board games.

If its 13X13 Go, with white playing first, it isn't really Go, 13x13 is a board size for intermediate players, but 19x19 is full size. In addition, according to the rules of Go, black plays first. One of the reasons I am here is that Little Golem handles Go properly. I HAD been playing on IYT, but it didn't handle score counting correctly for Go (at least it was right about who went first!). Finally, there is the Little Golem tournament structure. The way it is set up makes it fun and interesting to play here. For live Go, try IGS, KGS, NNGS, et al, but for turn-based Go, Little Golem and Dragon are far superior to anything else out there.

Of course, Jagex would not have the Golem Word Game, either, and they seem to concentrate on flashiness rather than substance.

For the record, I freaking love this site.

I also voted for more games here. Does anyone know when the results for the vote will be out?

KoolKid: there are various silly games on jagex.com, but what we prefer here are abstract board games, since these improve your personality more than trying to decieve others in runescape and get as much money as you can from them ;-)

ad Windows (98, xp, whatever): that is not computer, that is an operating system (and pretty crappy one indeed)

eliot61: I tried runescape, but the only thing you can learn there is how to decieve others, also it has no end - nor winners nor losers, and anyway abstract games are way much cooler :)
