Another post mentioned Erwin, who currently has 215 games active.

This is the largest number of active games by any player that I'm aware of, but it wouldn't surprise me too much if someone else has more.
I don't have a clue as to the player has played the most games total.

eliot61 has 367 active games right now

Now I'm at 388. Oops, guess I just love this site, lol.

just keep in mind that while you enjoy what the site offers you can support it too by becoming members!

Well, my guess it's eliot. About a third of my games are
against him, and he takes days to make a move. This makes
this site less interesting than other sites. And there
doesn't seem to be a way to avoid him, as he's always in
line for tournaments.

I put a post in GWG because that is where I play all my games in Golem. I agree with Abigail. There is some players that join too many games and can not play all of them in a timely manner. There is several people that do this. I don't understand the reason behind joining so many games when there is no way in _____ that one person can play that many games. They play them right before timing out alot of times. My humble opinion is there needs to be a limit.

I don't see why there should be a limit to the games someone plays because it would be impossible to play so many games... I can see the problem, but I don't see what this solution would do to resolve it.
It could be that you can say that in popular tournaments one can't join twice in a row (for instance twice a day).
By the way, with 'I can see the problem' I do NOT mean I agree with the point made: I love turn based sites, and if 10 of my 50 games linger on, I enjoy the other 40 I'm playing. I feel much more comfortable with this, then with online sites.
