What are the rules regarding the ranking of inactive players? Are they removed from rank lists (when), or rank is decreasing (when/how), or they keep their rank forever?
Another solution I can imagine is to suspend displaying their rank on ranking lists after some period and restore if they return.

That's the way it happens. When someone does not play for a period, one is removed from rank list. When he returns, he gets his place back.

The period of inactivity is (I tnink) 1 month. Which means that you have to not play for a month to be removed.

I think the inactive period is 3 months actually (Richard mentioned it in another topic but I can not remember which one). After that a player is removed from all the tournament registrations, including the championships.

I'm not sure whether removing rank works. My last game of DVONN had finished 2003-03-05 (almost a year ago). And I still have got my place among DVONN players list.

But inactivity probably means not playing any game (or perhaps not even logging in) for a couple (?) of months.

I don't see the problem with keeping rank while inactive anyway... It's only with the 'top10' lists or so you might feel it just that inactives don't show.
