No, that's not the reason. There is no client-side java required. Tell us what you do to get to the games. Perhaps you're doing something different than us.

Thanks for your reply.
To get to my game, I log in, then click on the game number but it won't let me on it.
I've played on ths site before but not for a long time.

What do you see when you try to get to your go-moku game? (Copy/paste this to your browsers address bar, if you're not sure how to get to your game: http://www.littlegolem.net/jsp/game/game.jsp?gid=130066).
If I go there, I see a board with two stones. Of course, I can't play there, because I'm not a player in that game. But if it's your turn, you should be able to click on the board, place a stone and submit the move.

I can't copy and paste anything, I'm not on a pc and I'm playing other games I just can't get on the go-moku game. :o(

You're not on a PC. Well, what are you on? WebTV?

I'm on NTL with a set top box. All my other games are fine, it's just the go-moku game I can't get on.

You wrote that after you logged in, if you click on the game number and it won't take you to the game... Can you tell us what doen happen when you click on the game number? Do you see the go-moku board, or doesn't it even take you that far?
9 Feb 2004
I don't get as far as the go-moku board. I just get an error message telling me that they're unable to proceed with this request.

I'm not on webtv/ntl, but is it possible to see the address in your browser? If so, can you tell what it says (exactly) in the browsers address bar? Does it say this: http://www.littlegolem.net/jsp/game/game.jsp?gid=130066 ?
9 Feb 2004
I've no idea how I see the address in my browser.
11 Feb 2004
And can you write here the whole error message you get?
12 Feb 2004
It says "at the moment we're unable to proceed with this request" and then it tells me to exit the interactive services and return later, but that never works.
I'm playing other games and they're fine.

Is there anyone else playing gomoku on NTL?
Do you think it's a littlegolem message (with littlegolem layout, eg. a red box on your screen with error) or a system error (NTL error)?
If you're not sure, you could try asking someone closer to you (family/neighbour) to take a look at the error message.
12 Feb 2004
It's not a littlegolem message, it's a message I get on my set top box when something won't work on it.
I think the problem is the go-moku board is too big and doesn't work on my system.
And why do I need to get a family member or friend to have a look at the message, I can read.
12 Feb 2004
Take it easy, Dixie, I advised to consult someone closer to you ONLY if you weren't sure about the message :-)
Since it's a NTL message, I can't help you. Good luck.

Could be that the first time you tried to acces the game the server was down, and your system got this message, and later it takes it back from cache instead of trying to reload. Is there a way to 'refresh' pages, or to chance 'cache' settings?
13 Feb 2004
I was only answering your message, I don't need to take it easy.
And every other game works so I'm not really bothered about the go-moku game.
Thanks for your help everyone anyway. :o)
