feature request: "skip game" until queue is empty

Just wondering: does anyone here choose to skip a game so that they can move in that game a few minutes later, when it pops up again at the end of the queue?

It is actually possible to avoid this, if you remember to select "go to list of games" just before you click the send button for the last unskipped game. And how can you tell that that game is the last unskipped game? Oh, it's so easy. If N is the number of games you skipped in this queue (usually 1), then you should select "go to list of games" when the display that shows how many games remain where you are to move is of the form N+1 (usually 2). And of course, don't forget to reset the choice to "go to next game in the list" just before you click send the next time you make a move (whenever that may be.)

I propose a more intuitive and user-friendly interface:

\* "skip game" should skip the game until the queue of unskipped games is empty.

\* Another choice should be available in the "goto" list: go to the next game in the list which is not marked 'skip.' I recommend that all users who have "go to next game in the list" selected should be switched over to this choice. They could always change it back if they want, but will anyone want to do so? Other similar choices in the list such as "go to next game of this game type" or "go to next game from this opponent" should be changed (or an alternative presented) as well.

\* With the above described selection chosen, when the user clicks send on the last unskipped game, the next screen will show the list of games. The moment this happens, all games that were labeled "skip" are no longer so labeled.

\* Perhaps some users would like to skip a certain game for longer than that. Maybe "skip game for the next N hours/days" could be presented as a choice, although this could lead to problems with players exceeding the time limit on games they skip. I personally don't care if this last feature is added or not. All I would really like is to avoid seeing my skipped game pop up again in the queue, without having to jump through all the hoops.

What does everyone think?

I don't mind seeing my skipped games over again. In the meantime I will have moved in the other matches, and be able to think about that one position with less distraction.

This may be only marginaly related, but I am guessing it may be a neat work around.

Choose the My Games line in the Main Menu.

Then choose Print Games, and select all your games. Choose how many column you want. Then choose Show Games.

All your game boards will show up on the same screen. Full size, in as many columns as you choose, and as many rows as necessary. Only the game title is added, which is

You vs Whoever

The actual printing of the games might take some tweaking on your system to fit your own personal likes. But rather than reviewing all your games page by page when you are idle, You can see them all at once. Check it out, I think you will like it.

Since suggestions are being offered for the game list, I'd like to throw my two cents in. Maybe it is possible to do this already, but... I like playing all of one game at a time as it allows me to keep the mindset needed for each individual game. I know i can just hit the skip buttton till i get to that type of game or keep going to the game list, but it can sometimes be very time consuming. I would very much like to be able to order my game list by type of game instead of move time.

Before you click "Send Move" you can set the Go To choice to the next game of same type. That's set by a drop-down list near the bottom of the page. One thing, though: I think if you skip any of the games in the type you're playing, you'll go to whatever game (of whatever game-type) where you have the least time left.
