can somebody tell me where the street soccer rules are? if you go to the cwali website, and click on street soccer, there's no real rules there, just a move example and a puzzle, which is hardly sufficient (it doesn't help that they're terribly written too). i have little idea what i'm doing and neither do any of my opponents, and trying to learn just by playing has not been fun. it does not help that even tho you move men one space at a time, you simply kick the ball to its destination square, so its hard to figure out the pattern for where you can kick to, esp if you can make a lot of passes. it doesn't help that there's no notation system either.

thanks,

ben

I have the problem. (And posted it to the new soccer forum.)

Sorry for the typo. I meant: "I have the same problem ..."

yes, i noticed that people in the street soccer forum have a lot of the same questions i do, and that their questions aren't getting answered.

In fact, quite a lot of messages from littlegolem have been from someone without any English language at all - perhaps a foreigner (Chinese/Japanese?)

For example, the words "Next oponent" when you have finished chess - rather than "opponent" - ie one 'p' when it should have been two.

Also the 'rules' of any game leave a lot to be desired.

Don't forget that you're the foreigner here!

How about being glad that the 'Next oponent'-text isn't in Czech or german?! :-)

I have to agree with klaashaas here. I don't know the entire history behind this website, but I'm thankful for all the hard work that's been put into it by Richard and any other ESOL (English as a second language) people. I'm grateful the site is in English or I'd not be able to participate.

Everyone here is better at speaking a foreign language than I am, that's for sure. ;-)

Dear Alan Darville,

Mail to Richard, ask him is you can help him with the language on some parts, and correct it yourself. Maybe you can create a .txt with corrections for some parts. Richard will be grateful.

When will the rules be changed that it will become impossible to gather around the ball so the other player cannot reach it? It has happened few times already that after a player scores the first goal, he moves his players around the ball thus blocking the game for the other player. It would be great if the original rule (boardgame version) was applied on this online version as well!

To Jeroen: How the rules solves that problem? Is it possible to block this way the ball for short time?
