Since about 20 days 50% of my opponents are on vacation. (I don't mind if few of my opponents are on vacation, but I mind having 50% of my opponents being on vacation.)
This current and enduring "vacation concentration" is due not only to summer holidays, but is due to the fact, that each player's vacation day counter is reset to 20 days at the begin of the calender year.
I ask Rio (or any other LG developer) to change the "vacation day algorithm":
In my opion it is a better idea to increase each player's "vacation day counter" throughout the year. I.e.: Please add one vacation day each 18 (or 15 or 14) days, and please don't reset it to 20 days only once a year (on January, 1st).

A nice suggestion Frank. I was wondering when the days were reset myself.
Another suggestion: Play more Hex, its the super game of the mathematical gods and hex players dont take many vacation days (unless their name begins with a y).
Cheers, Bill

Correction: unless their names begin with an y and they have more than 100 hex games going on.

I agree with Frank's suggestion. It would be more appropriate for players to received their vacation days at evenly spaced intervals throughout the year.

I agree, too, with the suggestion. One minor correction should be that there must be a roof at the vacation days, say 40. If not, a player may not spend any vacation for Y (2 or more) years and then disappear for Y x 20 days. If Y=6 that means half a year. That would slow tournaments a lot.

I think the assumption is that the roof is 20 days.
