When considering signing up for a tournament, I sometimes research who's already signed up, to see how strong my opposition will be. Sometimes I'll want stronger opposition, sometimes weaker, but the point is I want to be able to make an informed decision.
The ratings shown aren't always indicative. For instance, is that 1300 signed up for a chess tournament someone who signed up as a 1600 and has been being crushed, or is it someone (like one of my current opponents) who's gone something like 25-0-0 but didn't realize he could assign a rating to himself at signup and started out at 1000?
Links to the players' profiles would provide the information, and should be easy to implement, since that player id is already necessary behind the scenes in order to generate the page.
