Hi, I play on my phone and have the iPhone optimized version of littlegolem bookmarked for years. While I was on real world vacation I was reading my messages and making my moves when I found I was suddenly in a game that I don't play. It seemed like I was logged in as Kirin and was seeing all their games instead of mine. I tried logout on main page, but the iPhone optimized page still showed logged in as Kirin. Of course I did not try to move or anything else. Today I am home again from my vacation so I could find my password and login as myself again, which seems to have worked. Posting so this bug can hopefully be fixed (or, maybe iPhone optimized page should be removed if it is not the way to use littlegolem any more).
Thanks.

I also had this a few seconds.

Yep. Me too, using mobile app. Same Kirin. Bit of a pain - got it straightened out, somehow. Still can't see Chess board on mobile app, and am totally lost on LG app, which seems to do nothing. mc.

Hi, I'm Kirin! Yes, please fix this bug!
I've been seeing a "phantom mover" making moves or resigning on my games -- and now it seems anyone could be the Phantom Kirin. It messed up my first Dameo tournament, which I was very excited about. :(
I don't know if it's an app related bug, but I did just install the Android app a few weeks ago and problems started shortly after that. Had no problems playing on the web for years, but now I've uninstalled the app and the problem continued. Let me know if there's any way I can help fix this bug.

That solves one part of the mystery, then. I know we don't--and might not be able to--have a full picture of the damage, like who else has been affected, but I wonder what's causing your account in particular to be the target of this.

I'm trying to remember the circumstances, and perhaps additional information would be of help. I am normally logged on through my web browser, not a phone app. Even on my phone, I use my web browser. Out of curiosity (perhaps trying to get Chess to display right), I downloaded the LG app from Google Play. However, I couldn't log in, since I didn't have my password handy. It gave me the option to log in by sending a code to my email address. Indeed, I received that code in a few minutes, entered it, and VOILA! I was now logged into Kirin's account. Relax, I didn't make any moves. Logged off (I think), and deleted the useless pain-of-an-app. I am back to sticking with my web browser, which continues to work fine (except, as I said, can't see the Chess display).
Perhaps these details will help. Basically, all these goings-on should be communicated to Richard, in case he's not watching. mc.

I also was wondering why mine was the lucky account. Haven't entirely ruled out foul play, but given the seriousness of the bug we're seeing, that seems sufficient as explanation. Maybe there's some shared mutable state in the server code, maybe it's not thread-safe, or somehow a cache got messed up and started doling out my credentials. Only some investigation and debugging will tell for sure.
I tried using the Contact link at bottom of main page -- does that go direct to Richard or is there some other way to let him know? The Phantom Kirin has somehow taken over Little Golem! }:)

Hello,
I don't use phone app, only web. And I first was very surprised, when clicking on a link to register to a tournament, to see I registered Kirin (instead of me) and to see I could unregister him also! So even in the same browser where I was connected as SOLFAREMI. From a browser where I am not connected to LG, I can see Kirin's game where he has to move (but cannot play for him fortunately).

Thanks for adding info, everyone! Richard ran some processes and kindly contacted me. The issue seems resolved now, but if anything like this continues happening, please report. Cheers!

The same happened to me. Someone made moves for me or resigned my open games wich were not lost. That’s very aggravating. :(
