Flashing effect on screen refresh

I think this is a new thing. Happens when I see prior moves or cancel current move. Is it site-related? Really having trouble with it. Thanks.

if timed wrong and large page load which is not cached
screen will go black
then be overdrawn with mostly white

would be better if cleared to white first
