Next (LG) Morelli Championship

The second one has now finished, and the third is bound to start soon.  Please do sign up if at all interested and not already registered.

(If you feel all at sea about strategy, take stepanzo's hint of initially avoiding moves that (a) lose pieces, and  (b) advance more than the minimum distance towards the centre - that way at least you'll reach a sensible assessment stage without being already hopelessly disadvantaged.)

(And I would add: right from the start, make a mental note of frames that are available to you (a) on the Orange band, *and* (b) preferably nearer to  mid-side than to the corner - and keep at very least one such frame open as a possibility for as long as possible.)

If you do all that, you don't need to worry so much about your opponent making an early capture of the Throne.  Just let him have it - and later, let him HAVE it :)
