Micro system allowing temperature monitoring

Public forum discussion.

Hello all,

Because of fact that at littlegolem it is easy to find a lot of great minds, I would like to ask for help in project. I'm looking for a micro system which allows to real time monitoring of temperature  and  wirelessly export measurements to the logger. There are a lot of microsensors avaliable in the Internet, but I could not find one (micro size) that is able to wirelessly transport the data to the logger (RFID, NFC). If anyone ever heard about such solution or know how to design it I'd be grateful for any help.

Kind regards,Szymon

Hi, a question for clarification:

Where shall your micro system monitor temperature(s)?

- in computer hardware

- in "normal" rooms

- in refrigerators

- within a space probe

- at/in human bodies

Hello Ingo,

Thank you for your reply. I'm looking for solution that would be easy to integrate with small container in order to monitor temperature of biological samples. The temperature measurement range should be wide (-70C to + 50). That is why I'm looking for minimal size, wireless system that will work in that condition. I can imagine it will be very hard to find micro  source of energy that will be able support system for about 60hours.

I was lookin for so long but I wasn't able to find appropriate solution.

Thanks in advance.

I relayed your request to the greatest Hive Mind of all, Board Game Geek. So far I got one response:

"not really 'micro', but Maverick (and others i think) have systems designed for BBQers that remotely monitor food and fire in BBQ pits."

HI, I cannot help directly.

But technicians in the Formula-I car racing scene may have designed

interesting (and small) soluitions.

Ingo.

Thank you David and Ingo for your help, I really appreciate it. Maverick solutions are far too big for my project, but thank you David for your effort. I guess I have found something that could be useful, so I think we can close the discussion :)

Arduinos have very low consumption many communication systems and adaptable sensors.

Maybe you could share your solution ?
