Here's the message I've just got:

Game #1617000[Go Hahn Pointing System] is finished.

AlexS vs. gamesorry 30:70

AlexS

old rating: 1.7k

newrating: 1.6k

rating position: 51st

gamesorry

old rating: 4.0d

newrating: 3.9d

rating position: 7th

This seems to be an old problem: in all finished hahn games with a non 100:0 score, the game would be counted as a loss for both sides (you can check the profiles of the hahn game participants)

I believe that the rating is correct.  It looks like your rating went down by 0.1 stones and your opponent's rating went up by the same amount.

My guess is that, based on the difference between your ratings, the computer gave you roughly 0.94 win expectancy.  The difference between this and the actual result of 0.7, times the K-factor of the rating (32?) gives about 80 ELO points, which is about 0.08 stones, I think.

OK, the rating is probably working as you said, however, in both AlexS' profile (http://littlegolem.net/jsp/info/player_game_list.jsp?gtid=go19&plid=12390)

the results are 'lost', which also contribute to the statistics of go. As a result, one can hardly get a win from the Hahn tournament unless the opponent resign/timeout early.

Ah, now I see what you mean.

Yes, indeed, 50:50 should be a draw and all others should be win-loss.

I hope Richard notices this....
