Catchup championship

Public forum discussion.

When do championships start for new games? There are over 50 registered for Catchup's first-ever championship.

Also, it would be nice if Catchup had its own forum.  :)

Good questions.  I'm looking forward to a Morelli championship too, though it currently has a more modest 31 takers.  Seems to me I read somewhere that groups in championships comprised at least 9 players, and that there was 1 first-tier group, 2 second-tier, 4 third-tier etc, so - although I may have dreamed all or part of this - I sort of assumed we were waiting for a respectable minimum of 63.

As for a Catchup forum, I suspect that might happen if Nick himself simply mailed Richard and requested one.  That's what I did.

There is no reason to wait for 63. Other champ go through with less.

Richard Malachitz (site-owner) would typically make out of 30 players a Tier I with 9 and 2 tier II  with 11 and 10.

Normally 2 promote (if possible), top 5 stays (at least), rest relegates (if possibale)

Thanks for the clarification, Hjallti.  So I guess it's just a question of when Richard has time to start championships for these games.

I just sent Richard Malaschitz a message inquiring about the catchup championship and forum.  Maybe if several players do the same, he will start the championship.

I like the uncertainty about the start date. To get the chance to become the first champion, one needs to manage to stay within the top ten continuously.

I also like the absence of democracy on lg. Many manage to meet and play in the world set up by Richard. Why bother with different ideas or rules?

I'll be really happy if the first Catchup championship starts RIGHT NOW. This, of course, has nothing to do with the fact that I just broke into the top-10 list ;-)
