Games disapeared

Suddenly all games (chess) are disappeared. A database-error?

I was playing Twixt, Hex, Havannah, and Catchup, and they have all disappeared as well.

The same happens to my EWN games! My android Phone tells me I have 26 games, but when I ask for the list it is empty.

And when I click on a gamelink in my mail I get an error: Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException

Same here, and it also added over 150,000 unread messages to my inbox.

Same here. Lets hope there are not many lost moves when the database is restored from a backup. Last time this happened, long time ago, some of my opponents used it to change their already played moves.

It's not a surprise,  the massive amount of negative time on the site has opened a wormhole, now our games are in another universe. But I'm confident Richard will bring them back.

It says I have 3 games on Opponnents turn , but I can only see one of them. The 2 invisible games are both unrated. The one visible is a tournament game.

I was on turn in a number of games, but now they are all listed as being the opponent's turn, and none of them are accessible.

If I go direct to a game via the tournament crosstable I get this message "

Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException"

For me, it states that I have no moves on turn, but my opponents have 60. However, it only shows one: a Reversi 10x10 game that's two moves in.

I'm confident Richard will bring them back from the negative world unless he, too, got sucked in. Then it becomes more tricky.

it is a system temp glitch or maybe ya'll 'fraid to play me suddenly.

umm. What a coincidence! Just when I was about to kick some serious ass!!!

I hope that they will come back from the other universe without colliding with some kind of anti-games matter and nihilate themselves...

Really some coïncidence! Allmost out of time, and all my games in winning position!! ;-)

How does one contact Admin to fix this problem??

I guess that Richard will find himself the problem as soon as he plays on this server too. I'm confident that he will fix it and sure that he will roll back the chrono without having us to ask it.

One does not simply walk into Richard and fix the problem. His black gates are guarded by more than just orcs. There is evil there that does not sleep.

Hey, who was winning against Richard? You have to me more gentle with him! Man, you know he (just like us) hates to click the resign button. Only he has more powerful means than us (the power button)... :D

I hope someone restores this site before too long...Will we have to look elsewhere for a Site to Play our Games... (?)

The Golem FAQ could include the question "Is it just me, or ... ?"with the answer "No, it's happening to all of us."

Maybe it is not so easy. Maybe moves are timestamped and current time is current time so to avoid people timing out unfairly Richard has to give some extra vacation days. Just guessing, of course, how would I know, but that could explain his "vacation giving" in the past.

Yeah, or all the guys without any vacation days, me for example :D, gonna lose all the games by time ...

On the bright side, we can still play the Empathy game and the VoteChess team games.

Perhaps the enforced inactivity will sparkle some new blood into the Empathy game that seems to have fairly low traction the lately.

Any reference to a specific game doesn't work. Sometimes with a message on some java error ...

the beginning of the zombie apocalypse was the day I went to the C.N.E. in toronto on labour day.full of people hypnotized by their crackberries & bumping into people unaware of were they are or were they are going.they could have stayed home & stared into thier crackberries,they would not know the difference.

all games seem still to be out there but there is no player who's turn it is.

(unless you got a message they actually timed out)

I have an idea: if all games have been transported to another universe, why don't we all move to the same universe and chase them?
