I can just guess, but there are some possibilities. Have you asked kingofthebesI about this? Possibilities:

1) Your opponent requested a restart from Richard, for some reason, and Richard accepted this.
2) There was some error on the site, and it had to be recovered from the backup. This seems unlikely, though, as it would probably cause other strange things as well.
3) Richard noticed some error in your opponents time, and corrected this himself. This also seems unlikely, as Richard rarely, if ever, inspects single games or players.
4) Some error caused the game to be revived.

There are other possibilities too, of course. Of the ones I listed, option 1) seems most likely, but that can easily be verified or falsified by asking your opponent about it.

I had to laugh when reading this. It was especially funny when I got to Dryads response :)

No idea why it restarted by the way.
