Infinite tournament, playing "system" who is on vacation!

Public forum discussion.

I joined shogi 5x6 infinite tournament, and in my second game, I have been paired with "system", which is basically the same as getting a "bye", the weird thing is that "system" has more than 240 hours and is "on vacation".

Even stranger, my game against system moved from the list where it is my opponents move into the list where it is my move. "System" is black, and should go first, so why is this game in the list of games where it is my turn? I can not make a move for white, but I can make a move for black, which is system. So I just made a move for black, and now it is my turn and the game is in the list of games where it is my opponents turn and I can not move. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

In the game above, System is black and goes first, I made the move for System from the top of the board and now it is white's turn, which is me and I can't make a move.

I played against SYSTEM, is strange. There is nothing you can do. You should only resign the game, it will have no influence on rating.

I can't resign...it is my turn but I can't move

Hmm, then it's a problem. I didn't make a move so I could resign on SYSTEM's account.

Send a message to Richard (if you haven't already done so.) Last time something similar happened to me, it was resolved in a few days.

Update:
In the shogi diagram above, I had played the King from the top of the board down one square for my mysterious opponent. Originally, this forum showed that move. Now, after Richard intervened and ended the game manually by taking back move one and forcing system to resign, the diagram above now shows a starting position instead of the 1.Kmove position that was originally displayed in this fourm...
