So the rules link to the wyps website is broken, and though I am pretty sure I've got a handle on it, any succinct rules or is the below accurate? I played it a few years ago but am now just getting back here and my memory is foggy. ;-)

And what in the world is WYPS numeric?

Regular WYPS:
-Goal is to connect all three sides with your tiles
-1st player picks between the two tile sets of randomly chosen letters. 2nd player plays first.
-Spell words in any direction.
-If you use letters from your opponents color that are on the board, flip one of the letter's color to your own. If the word happens to be a straight line, flip all the tiles in the word to your color.
-If your opponent connected all three sides on their turn the game is in Atari and you must disconnect his connection by changing tile color(s) to block, otherwise you lose.

Do you have to play off existing letters?

WYPS numeric is a variant of WYPS where you play with numbers instead of letters. A walid 'word' is a 'word' which 'letters' makes an arithmetic progression and a difference between successive members is 0 or 1. Examples of valid 'words' 12345, 555, 78, 9 etc.

The FAQ mentions that WYPS has two different number variations... one being that only PRIME numbers can be placed on the board.

Can that variation still be played here, or has that been discontinued. Anyone?

Also, can Quentin still be played here?

Prime Wyps is no longer a variation. For a while, the rules for numeric wyps kept changing with each championship, but they have stabilized. The rules are as na-wspak defines above, there are two variations, numeric wyps and numeric small wyps
