perhaps you mistakenly clicked to join, or someone hacked your account...I doubt there is much you can do except resign all your games on move one, then it won't affect your rating (but it will show in your win/loss record). Or you can just try it, you might like it!

thanks for answering
I've written the owner an email--lets see if that works

I would suggest just resigning all your games or giving it a try. What are you hoping Richard will do?

Reading this topic, I like the idea to have something like a user central, where each player can check for which tournaments he is registered.
It would be much easier than to scroll down the tournament page and check each and every single tournament.

I was hopeful he could just remove me as I have only amazons games in my profile--now it has been defiled ;-)
in fairness he did write back and told me it wasn't possible. It's a sad day........................but I'll get over it

One unusual thing about signing up for tournaments is that it's done by clicking on a link rather than pressing a button. There has been speculation in the past that a browser or an upstream 'web accelerator' pre-caches the link, and in so doing signs you up or signs you out. However I don't recall any previous cases discussed in the forum where that speculation was confirmed.
