solution: blood (blue blood, blood pressure)

If you know/find a good one, please post it here.

Actually I meant post your puzzles here, but it's also good to have the solutions.
correct:
runner UP stairs, shrugged OFF beat, yellow RIVER rafting, elbow JOINT venture, table TENNIS court, academy AWARD winner, sting RAY Charles, handed DOWN under, tea POT smoker, dirty DANCING queen, can DO over
also some solutions may work too, I have a different one for:
rock ... up
brain ... right
mister ... man
hard ... out
I haven't got a solution for this one, but if would be funny:
rock ... roll
N isn't working, rock N and N roll are not good. More something like solid or pay, at least for one pair.
15 Mar 2013
\* although, not also
mister ... ray (not man)
15 Mar 2013
i just noticed, you can also make symmetric ones:
run ... run (not FOREST ;-)
17 Mar 2013
correct: run OVER run, hard WORK out, (mister MIRACLE man, this was a mistake, see below)
missing:
rock ... up
brain ... right
mister ... ray
17 Mar 2013
I just noticed the mister in the last puzzle is not a common English expression, you only know him if you played a certain board game.
17 Mar 2013
Ah, I didn't realize the puzzle "mister man" was a mistake. Well, then I created a new puzzle!
Your board game clue was too easy: mister X ray
"rock HARD up" must surely be as equally valid as a solution as the one you came up with.
Still working on brain... right.
17 Mar 2013
Yes Ed, you've got it (mister X ray).
Indeed, I didn't knew the expression 'hard up', I've got another one there.
The word pairs for the remaining two puzzles can all be found in dictionaries (as they should).
17 Mar 2013
run...run can also be
run out
out run
17 Mar 2013
yep! One to go:
rock ... up
new ones (feel free to add some puzzles yourself):
love ... box
real ... saver
horse ... polish
oil ... tyre
cycle ... station
17 Mar 2013
real LIFE saver
horse SHOE polish
18 Mar 2013
electrical ... plug ... crowd ... code
18 Mar 2013
Yes Ed, correct once again. I don't know love squeeze, have something different there.
love ... box, rock ... up
Marley's puzzle:
electrical POWER plug IN crowd SOURCE code?
18 Mar 2013
electrical SPARK plug IN crowd CONTROL code
18 Mar 2013
ooh...multiple solutions!
18 Mar 2013
I had in mind a third solution,
electrical SPARK plug IN crowd SOURCE code
18 Mar 2013
Erm, isn't that just two thirds of the first solutions combined with one third of the other prior solution?
And I guess I now have to be vaguely original, so I'll scrape the bottom of the barrel (AKA my head, it's turned into that shape after drinking so much beer and whisky) and go:
electrical NETWORK plug IN crowd DYNAMIC code
Yeasss!!!!!
19 Mar 2013
rock ... roll
could be
rock LOBSTER roll
but I don't think that's a very satisfying solution.
19 Mar 2013
Are you kidding? That's a great solution. Good work.
4 Apr 2013
agreed! excellent solution...I was thinking about rock... roll with no good ideas. Well done, duncecap!
bringing this forum back to the first page with two new puzzles:
