In some competitions, there are dominant players, who enter and usually win every competition, do you think it would be good if you couldnt enter 2 consecutive monthly cup groups, this might encourage more people to compete in the monthly cup groups.

I don't think it would be a good idea. Sometimes you feel like playing a lot of games and it sucks if you cannot enter. An alternate rule would be that you cannot sign up for a monthly cup group if you already won one. I don't think that is a good idea either btw.

The way I see it, there are at least three ways to it:
- either you play for fun and then don't mind if good players beat you, or
- you want to play seriously and to win, then you need to learn, and practice a lot and then you'll end up winning sometimes against these strong opponents (with lot of temporary pleasure), or
- you are annoyed to lose but don't want to make the effort to become better and you just don't play these tournaments (which I ended doing ;))
but anyway, complaining or changing the rules will not make you happier.

Agree with Thnikkaman and Carroll
Though sometimes it's annoying to lose games, but learning & beating the strong players turn out to be of the greatest pleasure.
(BTW, I was a little disappointed to see that there were only Handicap games in Go 19 monthly cups... but that's sort of encouragement of novices:))
