Are you proposing implementation on LG? I think this would be the first LG game with partial information.

If Rio wants, I could produce the graphics elements for PC display, and smaller images for whatever hand held devices LG runs on these days. But maybe some would prefer Stratego itself instead of this spinoff.

This would be 'hard' to implement, as hidden information is never else where used (random late information is, but hidden not)

There's the "Battleship" partial information (BPI), which, once revealed, stays revealed, to both players.
I guess third parties viewing the game would see BPI that has been shown to both players.

Then there's "Stratego" partial information (SPI [How's that for an acronym?]), which is revealed on a turn but then goes back to being nominally hidden. Would a player be allowed to rewind the game to remind himself of SPI revealed on a previous turn? If so, we may as well just make it BPI and leave it revealed to both players. If not, I presume it's going to be much harder to recall when the previous turn was days, weeks or months in the past.
Would third parties viewing the game be allowed to rewind (I presume so.) and see SPI? Perhaps only after the game is over? Or maybe see only the SPI which has in the meantime become BPI?

Reviewing the Tank Battle rules once again, it looks like the land mine locations are BPI; the peg-board guesses of tank locations are BPI; and the tank numbers are SPI (I assume the tank numbers are revealed during a tank-to-tank attack OTB. For an online version, it might be that only the result of the attack is revealed, but not the tanks' absolute numbers). I take it the locations of the tanks, anti-tank guns, fuel depots, ammo dumps and headquarters are public information.

My point was that, given there is no BPI game so far on this website it would be a new line of work for Richard to make this work. I would rather see the effort going to backgammon or variants of the existing games.

I'm still looking forward to a simultanious move game.
(Having said that, I think RoRoRo still runs footsteps games)

Epigo is a simultaneous move game that I learned this summer that I think would be excellent on Little Golem, if the licensing doesn't get in the way.
