Why don't people post the game boards when talking about moves

Lately I have posted 4 times a game board under a discussion on a particular move. Richard created a easy tool to do so. If you post a new topic just introduce the problem and then underneath the reply bottom there is a link with the different ways of posting game boards...

I don't know if you're being cheeky, but yes, it is too hard.

I don't consider myself particularly lazy when it comes to trying to propagate information to fellow golemites, but even I don't bother to include boards, as I would need to follow a link to remind myself how to do it. Were it to say (and this might totally mess up this post if it interprets the []s...):

Include a board using [game;id:123456] or [game;id:123456;move:20]

then I wouldn't hesitate to use it at all.

I sometimes use a screenshot that I store at mindsports.nl or tinypic.com and then a normal link, like:

And just how does one (safely!) include a link? Without, for example, adding an additional column to the display table like some dope did in the movie association thread.

Simple method is using textile bloc of code bc.. like

Carroll's one is HTML and yours is XHTML, makes no big difference here, it's anyway a mix of both (for example if you look at the breaks) and all common browsers don't care about it, but if you look at the DOCTYPE of this site, then you see Carroll is correct.

although for 100% correctness there should be also an alt="blabla"...
