did the blog part of the site disappear? Or am I just unable to find it? I aways thought it was a lot of fun to read about new games and thoughts, I miss it.

Do you think it would be possible to make it visible again? Than people might actually writing there too

I'm not sure why Richard removed it from the menu in the first place. Maybe because it doesn't add much if there's a forum (not implying that that is the case, but it may be the argument).

Maybe, I just liked it a lot. You had those more 'article style' posts (for example you yourself was a frequent contributor and I always enjoyed reading it)

The thread that Omar started about my work, over at Arimaa, more or less turned into a blog, so I'm well accomodated in that sense. But I agree about the 'article style' posts, and a forum somehow seems less inviting to that kind of contribution. Maybe that's the very reason Richard removed it ;-) .

You might not be sure why Richard removed it, but I'm not sure why Richard added it in the first place! For site announcements, then a news section might make some sense, but if you're expecting people to engage in discussion, then the forum is as good a place as any. Blogs are so 200x.

yeah, but it has the effect that we have seen a lot fewer 'article style' posts since it was removed. Which in my oppinion is a shame.
