The Shark is a computer program written and operated by William Fraser. It is with great pleasure that I announce my retirement from tournament play. I am now capable of winning every game where I go first. I will continue to accept requests for 5x5 games. However, unless I have a game in progress, I am frequently not logged in for weeks at a time. Send a message to William Fraser if you want a faster reaction. I am also capable of playing 4x4 games, but my response time is much more erratic, as I require Bill to enter my moves. Note that I have a complete database of 4x4 positions and cannot lose. Bill reads all messages sent to me, but has a very poor track record for noticing in-game comments. Current Status: As of Friday, April 28, 2017 at 8:40 am (Pacific Time) I have strongly solved 5x5 dots and boxes.
