About
I enjoy playing Reversi, Chess, Connect 4 and Go-moku.
As a connect 4 player, I've played the game around mid 2010, and thanks to the many generous top internet connect 4 players, all of whom I enjoyed playing against, I developed quite a passion for connect 4 that lead me trying to master other board games as well, such as Chess, Reversi and Go-moku.
The first game I picked up and started playing after connect 4 was Reversi, otherwise known as Othello. I first started playing the game on the flyordie server at around mid 2011, and over the course of many years, it has been the most enjoyable game for me, as I have been able to play many strong reversi players specifically on flyordie that I will never forget. For anyone wishing to increase their reversi ability, I highly suggest the free online pdf: "Othello: A Minute to Learn, a Lifetime to Master" by Brian Rose, for this book helped me tremendously as a beginner. Aside from that, I'd say calculation is the most important thing in reversi, followed by memorization of opening lines, specifically lines that seem to violate the fundamental principles of a good move in othello, and lastly, the ability to recognize a good move on the board which can only be obtained through years of playing, as I've come to learn.
