yes i can. i have about 9 nicks, some of them are inactive. they are all easy to recognize: bhutanese flag, italian city names (tuscany and umbria). there is nothing sneaky about this: everyone who cares already knows about it.

important addition: i never intentionally played against myself to gain from it – meaning never signed up for the same tournament. it does happen sometimes that in ch or mc.2. tourneys two of my nicks are selected in the same group, in that case one of the nicks inevitably wins…

another enlightening addition: in gomoku the top 50 nicks are no more than 15-18 real players. there are many players who would not reveal their other nick they play – unlike them i am clear and open about my nicks.

This is an entirely different discussion, and belongs in the main forum. It is an interresting one, though.

Personally, I would appreciate it if there was a rule page in LG somewhere. Further, I would appreciate if the rules there stated that no person was allowed to have more than one LG-account. But as long as there are no such rules, I think that having several nicks must be tolerated. It is nothing wrong by that in itself.

What IS wrong - at least in my opinion - is when people use these nicks to boost their ratings. You state that you do not do this, which is good. Also, you are open about having several nicks (at least now :-) ), which is also positive.

I do not, however, see the point of having several nicks (unless one tries to boost ones rating or get an “easier” tournament). This will simply mean that there are, in effect, fewer players in a championship. And how do you handle playing several nicks in the same championship? Do you resign all games with one of the nicks? Or do you make sure you at least resign against yourself before starting any of the other games, so that you don't pick the nick which is doing better in the championship? And I hope you don't use the poorest nick to alter the SON of your best nick? I only see problems with several nicks.

So, where is the rule page! ;-)

well, there is no boosting the rating, i play as hard as i can with all my nicks involved, i do not care who is the opponent. but as i said, many of the nicks are already inactive and even more of them will be so in the future. originally i had more nicks because i wanted to play more games… but now there is less time. and interest. :D

but, again, i cannot speak for the 14-17 other players who would not reveal either their alternative nicks or their intentions with them :D

And I am not going to play with my primary nick in the next season, Malaj will retire after winning two consecutive championships.

Just some comment to orvieto and his lots of nicks: they may be inactive in gomoku, but in connect6 they pollute the championship. At least in the championship it would be useful, in my opinion, to play with one nick per player everybody.

iec's comment here and richu333's wondering in another forum topic (“please come in and watch this games”) attest what I said in that discussion: “We can imagine that months after, people who come to see the (C6) Championship games can hardly understand what's going on if players resign now at the games' early stage.”

euhuang, I didn't mean the event, that server lost some backup and then championship was restarted in the half again. This one I understand, some players dealt with this in the way they repeated the same results like before, some tried to get a second chance.

I meant something different, that some player(s) entered the championship with more nicks than one and I just stated my opinion.

This is true, but i think he is speaking about many anonymous players, or players that just put non truth info .

The problem of playing in multiple accounts in championship is in gomoku where in top 20 only about 10 different players. In c6 in Champioship now there is no such problem, but it can be… As for me i used, use and will use only one account.

No, in fact I didnt speak about top championship. In 1st or 2nd league, there are so far I can see unique nicks.

But in lower leagues there are some of these that said it even publicly here in forum before. I wonder what will the player do if he will have more nicks in one group. And of course they might take places that would have other people otherwise.

For example perugia-cortona-firenze-siena (and may be more, in addition siena also chose a different path to lose with me after restart). And also malaj-vector, though I don't have nothing against any of them personally, I just state my disagreement with this :)

Due to them some other players who would otherwise go to upper group couldn't make it, that's why I called it a bit polluted.

Of course I am speaking about c6, in gomoku I have no interest in turn based play at this time, c6 is nice game and I try to learn the basics this way.

In gomoku this championship is of no value for me, I know the real strenghts of most players from kurnik and from real tournaments.

In gomoku as I browsed through full rating list, I didn't see any visible dupes in first 20 places and also not in highest league. I am curious, which of these are that?
