I tried to constitute a repertory of openings for the game of Amazons but I did not find a book of openings on the Web.

Is it anybody knows an Internet address of a site which would propose it? Either, is it players established their own repertory of openings and would agree to propose them in this Forum so that we can discuss it?

Example : I often begin by 1.g1-g8/i6

What do you think of it? Is it correct or is it preferable to open otherwise?

I don't know of any published opening books. I know that at least Molpadia can use an opening book; I don't know about other programs. I like that move for the first move, and also d1-d7-g7. I haven't given it enough thought to offer anything useful.

I believe it is clear from computer play that mobility is a very important concept in the opening, and territory is important later. I'm not sure how helpful that is.
