My loss against "Sensei" HappyHippo
  • David J Bush ★ at 2019-01-17

This 14x14 game was played on Game Center with a time control of 10 minutes per player per game, with an increment per move of 20 seconds per move. I'm not sure how long that game link

    will last.

Here is what I believe the crucial position.

Here 28.K7 would have created separated threats at K8 and C11, but instead I played 28.L7 and lost.

    Do you agree? TIA

I think red has to play L7 which is either forced win or forced loss already (I think it's a red win, but the game result is opposite so poddibly I'm wrong)

Full game here (trmph doesn't support 14x14).

I enjoyed playing on the slightly larger 14x14 board. It makes me wish that LG supported a size between 13x13 and 19x19. I think 15x15 would be a great size board to play - deeper strategy than the 13, but not crazy big like 19.

Its Interesting point - do players ranked ~2300+ feel that 13x13 board has become too small/schematic/tactical?

Thanks for the link HappyHippo. Now I can see David's point. Indeed black (red) could use c11 (delay k7), but I think white (blue) still win through h5.

    Arek, how about C11 (delay K7) H5 K9

I still think black wins :-)

Sorry that was wrong. I missed white D10.

  • Arek Kulczycki at 2019-01-18

    I was thinking white L2
